TROUBLESHOOTING
The following are some common electrical problems that you may be able to resolve on your own and save on the expense of a service call. These are some troubleshooting "first steps" to assist you. Of course, if these steps fail to resolve your problem, feel free to give us a call!
-
Receptacle/Outlet not working -- if the outlet is in a kitchen, bathroom, garage, shop or outside it should have GFI protection. Look for an outlet in the same room that has Test and Reset buttons on it. Push the reset button and try the outlet again.
-
Recognizing a tripped breaker -- believe it or not, many homeowners have difficulty recognizing when a breaker is in the "tripped" position. Once a tripped breaker is identified, in order to reset it, you must first move the breaker to the "off" position and then back to the "on" position.
